YouTube Client for Symbian Updated to v2.4, Adds Account Synchronisation

The official YouTube client for the symbian platform which has quiet an interesting history in itself reaching our 5800s, has now got an update to v2.4. Ofcourse we are referring to the long wait Tubers (5800ers) were subjected to get this client on their 5800s.
Ever since it’s launch in late July lat year, we have been complaining about the absence of YouTube account synchronisation within the application, and looks like Google has finally heard our pleas and added this feature in the update. But how exactly helpful is this account synchronisation? Find out after the break.

Well, let us spill the beans for you: though the account synchronization is a welcome addition, it’s not complete yet as in you cannot comment or upload videos to your YouTube account directly from the application. But, you access your subscription and favorited videos from the app, and there is even an option to flag a video, were it to offend you but it’s kinda incomplete feature as you need to login to the web browser to complete the procedure.
What we like?
- UI looks more refined
- Easy access to subscriptions and favorited videos with account login
What we don’t like?
Verdict
The recent update to v2.4 brings the welcome addition of YouTube login and we are refraining from calling it a full synchronisation as it still lacks features like option to upload videos and comments. But, easy access to your subscriptions and favorited videos make this a worthwhile update.
