Voice Recorder for Nokia 5530
I’m back with another Offscreen Technologies Ltd product. I guess I can dedicate this whole week for Offscreen Technologies because I’ve got so many apps from them to talk about. So let’s up each of them one per day.
Today’s app is Voice Recorder. I don’t think I need to give any description of what the app does, its pretty much clear from it’s name.
The design of the app is very simple and looks like a little tape recorder with two speakers at the bottom and a big record button, designed very simple and clean.
There is only one screen in the app, as with all the Offscreen apps, a characteristic of Offscreen I suppose. The empty area in the middle of the screen lists all your recordings. The middle of them all, which has got those pointers at it on both ends, is the selected file. But in the following screenshot, its all empty because I hadn’t actually recorded any yet.
When you tap on the record button, the recording starts and a new file is created with the current date and time as the filename. As you keep recording many files, the list grows. The red coloured timer indicates the amount of time for which you have been recording.
When you stop recording, the file is saved and the red coloured timer now stops and turns black. It now indicates the duration of the recording.
You also have the option to play the recoding. The play and the delete button is found on the top of the screen. So you also get the option to delete the recording. The following screenshot is taken when the recording was being played back.
This is a free app, available on Ovi Store. Can be useful at situations, such as recording a lecture. Try it out…
