Opera Mobile 10: Smart but still in beta.
I have previously reviewed, Skyfire, a mobile broswer for the S60v5 phones that support full browsing and offers faster displays than most of the browsers. However, recently, I have received messages from some website such as Youtube, that they will no longer support Skyfire in the future. This is unfortunate news for a browser that performs well at almost no cost for the end user. However, there is still hope for those who want to enjoy full browsing in their mobile devices.
S60 OS 9.4 users may opt to try the Opera Mobile 10 beta. According to Opera’s website, the Opera Mobile 10 offers a new intuitive interface which is similar to their desktop browser. It has also adopted and adapted its features such as tabbed browsing and speed dial. Tabbed browsing is especially useful for those who browse multiply websites simultaneously unlike other website only allowing you to display and view a single page and closes the other should you choose to switch to site. The speed dial is their own quick access to your favorite sites or most visited bookmarks. It has a nice easy to view thumbnail layout that is easy to grow fond of. Another notable feature for the touchscreen phones is the presence of an overlaid virtual touch keyboard which allows the user to type in the URL or search keyword without having to navigate away from the page.
