Nokia 5800 App Review: Stopwatch by CreaBros Oy
There are some applications that are not as important as others until you need it. Stop Watch is one of them. I like to run and I usually use my watch to time myself each lap, but it’s never accurate. I saw this application and I think it’s a good idea to have it installed on my phone. Stop Watch is free so it won’t hurt your pockets at all.
This application has the simplest interface. The green button starts the counter, which shows hour, minutes, seconds and microseconds. When the timer starts, it displays the time at the top of the screen. I just hope that programmer made it a little bigger for easy read. The numbers are small and the font is unreadable when outside with the sun shinning straight on your phone. The green button can also be used for stopping the timer. When the time was stopped, it will capture the time and puts the output on the left side of the screen. Once green button is hit again, timer resets. The yellow button is used for time splits, which also shows output every time yellow button is hit. Each split shows with the letter S, in order to easily identify the split time. Same with Light blue color button, it’s used for the lap time. Outputs the lap time on the side and can be identify as L letter.
Overall Stopwatch needs some improvements on the interface. Option is non-functional and the buttons are too big. The time outputs should be a little bit bigger. This app actually does what it supposed to do. Hopefully the creator would include count down timer along with the stopwatch. I also want to thank CreasBros Oy for writing this free app.
