How to use Remember The Milk on your Symbian device
For those that don’t know Remember The Milk is online task management application loaded with functions but yet still remains very minimalist its design approach thus making it extremely popular.
For us on Symbian we’re not that lucky as the folks of Windows Mobile, iPhone, and even Blackberry to have either a native Symbian or a Milk Sync application. So what are we suppose to do, you guessed we’ll use our favorite Twitter client Gravity to interphase with Remember The Milk.

With This Command List RTM is extremely useful via Twitter, my recommendation memorize a few commands or copy this text to a word doc or text file and import to your Symbian device for quick reference.
Command list
You can direct message the following commands to rtm. You may receive a confirmation or info back via a return direct message.
Adding tasks
pick up the milk adds a new task with the specified name to your default list
call jimmy at 5pm tomorrow adds a new task with the specified name and due date to the default list
return library books in 2 weeks adds a new task with the specified name and due date to the default list
Sending tasks
@username pick up the milk sends task to the specified Twitter username (this person must be set up with Remember The Milk too)
Updating tasks
!complete call jimmy completes the specified task (shortcut: !c)
!postpone call jimmy postpones the specified task (shortcut: !p)
Getting tasks
!today gets tasks due today (shortcut: !tod)
!tomorrow gets tasks due tomorrow (shortcut: !tom)
!getdue friday gets tasks due on the specified date (shortcut: !gd)
!getlist personal gets tasks from the specified list (shortcut: !gl)
!gettag call gets tasks with the specified tag (shortcut: !gt)
!getlocation office gets tasks at the specified location (shortcut: !go)
Setting up
!on enables task reminders
!off disables task reminders
!confirmon enables confirmations (task actions, such as adding tasks via Twitter, will be confirmed)
!confirmoff disables confirmations (task actions, such as adding tasks via Twitter, will be confirmed)
!help gets help info
!tips gets a list of commands
Manage your tasks wherever you are with the full-featured mobile version of Remember The Milk.
- View upcoming tasks (due today, tomorrow, and this week)
- View tasks by list or tag
- Add new tasks and notes
- Complete or postpone tasks with the press of a button
- Edit existing tasks and notes
- Search tasks (supports advanced search operators)
- View handy settings (such as your Inbox email address)
Tools you’ll need to for this setup: A Remember The Milk free account, BestMenu, a Twitter client ie. Gravity and your Nokia Smartphone
