LightSabre makes a humming sound when you swing your phone with some cool light effects. It turns your Nokia 5800 into a kind of toy and brings out the kid in you. Light Sabre uses the built in accelerometer API of Nokia 5800. It is of course a freeware and really funny when you show it to your friends.

You can also change the color, volume and sensitivity levels in the settings. The application will work on S60 5th edition devices like Nokia 5800 and the upcoming Nokia N97 and may also be compatible with 3rd edition feature pack 2 phones as well. Check the video below for LightSabre demo.

Some points to remember for running this application-

1. IMPORTANT- install to internal memory ( C:/) drive (known defect)

2. For best results turn off auto screen rotation in phone settings (otherwise you’ll get lag in the sound when the screen changes)
