Contest: Win 10 Free Licenses to ‘MyPhone’ Application

Yeah, we have some exciting news today. You can now win a FREE license to the popular ‘MyPhone’ application by simply making a comment in this post. If you are a regular visitor here, you may have read about the MyPhone app which can turn your Nokia 5800 into an Iphone. The app is getting lot of buzz here since we reviewed it few months back. It has now been updated to v2.1 with lots of improvements and bug fixes.

IMMMOOO, the developers of the application are kind enough to offer their app free for the Tube5800 family. A total of 10 licenses to the full version ‘MyPhone Exceeding Iphone’ application would be given to the winners of this small contest.

‘MyPhone Exceeding Iphone‘ is actually a flash based user interface which gives your 5800 an ‘Iphone’ look and feel. The home screen matches perfectly to that of Iphone. It even has an Iphone style slider to unlock the phone. The app comes with few widgets, notifiers and customizable shortcuts. You can tap on any icon on the screen and it will open the corresponding application of your phone. Like the iPhone, you can also swipe your finger across the screen to move from one homescreen panel to the next.

The application has 4 screens of icons that you can rearrange by tapping holding and then moving them. The first 3 screens includes links to the most common programs and tools like the calendar, clock, camera, web, logs, file mgr, settings, maps, music, video, theme, calc, etc. A few flash widgets are also thrown in like RSS, Weather, Sketchpad and Dial screen which resembles so much with that of iPhone. On the 4th screen, the app provides room for adding your favorite apps or websites to the unassigned icons. There’s also notifications for missed calls or new Messages, which is a very nice touch.

However, it does not completely replace your standard 5800 home screen & does not autostart with the phone, you have to manually start the application. But in other words it gives you the flexibility to switch iPhone UI into S60 UI and the other way round seamlessly. Another feature needed is the use of application in landscape mode, which it currently does not support. Still its a killer application and a must for you if you want to have all the looks n style of the Iphone on your Nokia 5800.

New Features in v2.10:

Sketchpad- if you want to draw something on your 5800, this is the widget you need.
Auto-Lock- Set time to auto lock your phone when its not being used.
FM Radio- A link for FM radio is added in the application.
Alternative List Mode- You can choose a 3*5 array or 4*5 as you like! More choice and more convenient!
Improved registration- This was much needed. You can buy the app and activate it in real time. No waiting time.
RSS Input- Input RSS feeds via a txt file.
Quit icon- Added a quit icon to exit the application.
