Bowman 2: For the Archer Inside Every 5800er
Bowman2, which is like the most popular flash based game on the PC/Mac platform has arrived on our 5800 and boy we couldn’t wait to get our hands on it and once we did we assure you that we made good use of it (3 hrs of gameplay at a stretch!).
If you haven’t really tried this game before, we suggest you straightaway head over to this gaming portal and get some hands on experience on the PC/Mac platform before installing this game on your 5800s (which we are most certain you will!). If you did check the link to the gaming portal we mentioned earlier, you would be knowing the game objectives and rules by now. So lets not bore you by repeating the same and see how the game fares on our 5800: fantabalous is all we can say! The adaptation to the touchscreen format has been near perfect and for a change we are seeing someone other than Offscreen doing an excellent job at porting popular games from other platforms to s60v5.
What we like?
- Looks exactly like the desktop version of the game
- Touchscreen gameplay is a delight
What we don’t like?
- Not all the modes are working smoothly (vs modes are kinda laggy)
Verdict
Bowman 2 is something the fans of this popular web-based game would love to have on their 5800s (We are definitely keeping this one on our 5800s for sure). The gameplay as well as the animation is as good as with the desktop version, if not any better. The game is another encouraging development in the symbian community which is increasingly attracting individual as well as corporate developers.
