Best S60v5 Applications
It is unlikely that there is only one best application for the s60v5 phones since each application offers a unique add-on and every user would have a different take on it. However, here’s a list of some applications that will be helpful. Some are free, some are not.
1. Y-browser
The free file manager with the capabilities of exploring every directory including the ROMs and allowing you to send files without restrictions, most of the time.
2. SMS Scheduler
Need to send messages to someone but on a specific date and time? This application does the trick. No need for reminders or alarms that one might miss as well. The SMS Scheduler will queue your message for you and conveniently send it on the set date and time. Free version available for S60v5.
3. MSDict
Run out of words no more! MSDict from Mobile Systems allows you to store several references such as dictionaries and even a thesaurus in your phone and access it with a common viewer. I’ve tried out several references and they are really amazing. Some references even come with an audio feature that guides the user on the correct pronunciation of the word. However, this application’s got a premium but for those who will opt to get it, it is worth it.
4. WorldMate
For citizens of the world, this is extremely useful as it contains the commonly used utilities / tools when one is traveling or engaging in overseas business. It has world clock with day and night mapping, a currency converter, a weather report that features a weekly forecast and a daily weathercaster that may be configured to wake you up with the day’s weather forecast. There are other premium features that you have to pay for access though. These premium services include the flight alerts, status and schedules as well as a satellite imagery for the weather.
